So the water experience was a success. Unfortunately I didn't do a good job of sticking to my reward and starting week 2 so tomorrow I'll finally reward myself (can't do a facial today...I've got a banquet tonight and I don't want a red face!) and start on baby step #2: 30 minutes cardio for 5 days this week.
Why not 7? Because I don't want to beat myself up if I miss one day or so. 30 minutes is enough to get me going, there's no reason I can't fit it in even my busiest of days, and I can always get it in before work.
As I said in my first baby steps entry, the goals are going to be cumulative so I'll have to keep up drinking my water too and that's been easy. I started by "forcing" two servings before my morning coffee and now I don't even crave the coffee - I just want the water! Refilling is also a good break from my desk during the day so I know that I fet up and away from my desk, get a short walk, and have the stress relief of taking a few deep breaths and walking away.
Reward for this week? I was going to make it a book but I haven't read like I'm supposed to be this month so I'm not going to add a fun book when I can't even get my serious reading done! I'm doing my nails tonight as I need those for tonight's event... so I'm still trying to pick one. Any thoughts out there?
